Williams Team Principal James Vowles signs new long-term contract

In a significant move for the future of Williams Racing, Team Principal James Vowles has penned a new long-term contract, ensuring his continued leadership as the team strives for a return to its championship-winning heritage. Vowles, who joined Williams ahead of the 2023 season after a distinguished career as Motorsport Strategy Director at Mercedes, has been instrumental in the team's resurgence. He is only the third Team Principal in Williams' 48-year history, a testament to his pivotal role in guiding the storied British outfit since Dorilton Capital's acquisition in 2020. Under Vowles' stewardship, Williams has enjoyed its most impressive start to a season since 2016, currently sitting fifth in the Constructors' Championship with 55 points.
