Newey pinpoints where Aston Martin are making ‘huge strides’

F1 design maestro Adrian Newey unveiled his inaugural Aston Martin creation, the AMR26, formally presented in Saudi Arabia after its Barcelona shakedown. Newey described an "emotional journey of passion" in developing the car, praising Aston Martin's significant strides in team cohesion at their state-of-the-art Silverstone campus. Now also taking on Team Principal duties for 2026, Newey lauded Lawrence Stroll's investment in facilities, calling them "second to none." He emphasized the importance of personnel working effectively. Looking ahead to the Bahrain pre-season test, Newey expects rapid car development throughout the season, citing vast opportunities from new regulations.
