Ride onboard with Norris as he sets the pace in Las Vegas FP2
Lando Norris defied McLaren's cautious expectations by topping the second Free Practice session at the Las Vegas Grand Prix. After a challenging opening session, Norris set the pace with a 1m 33.602s lap, narrowly beating Andrea Kimi Antonelli by 0.029 seconds in a red flag-disrupted session.
McLaren had openly stated that the cooler temperatures and track characteristics of Las Vegas were expected to make it their toughest event of the remaining season for the MCL39. Despite these anticipated difficulties, Norris' performance suggests a stronger weekend start than the team had predicted, putting him in a promising position.
