Vasseur reflects on Leclerc’s self-criticism

Ferrari team boss Fred Vasseur has acknowledged Charles Leclerc's intense self-criticism as both a strength and a weakness, following Leclerc's furious reaction to his British Grand Prix qualifying performance. Despite Ferrari's encouraging practice sessions, Leclerc only managed a P6 grid slot, expressing extreme frustration and blaming himself for a "horrible" final lap. Vasseur noted that while this self-blame is positive for the team as it avoids misdirection, Leclerc sometimes takes it too far. The Monegasque driver has reportedly shifted his focus towards race pace and setup, which might be impacting his qualifying performance, a trade-off Vasseur suggests is understandable given that points are scored on Sunday.
