Verstappen reflects on working with different race engineer in Austria
Max Verstappen navigated an unfamiliar setup at the Austrian Grand Prix, working with stand-in race engineer Simon Rennie as Gianpiero Lambiase was absent for personal reasons. Despite the change, Verstappen, who ended Friday in P3, praised Rennie's immediate effectiveness and experience, calling the collaboration "very good."
However, the Dutchman highlighted persistent understeer issues and a general lack of pace as key areas for improvement. Meanwhile, teammate Yuki Tsunoda showed significant progress, climbing from P17 in FP1 to P7 in FP2. Tsunoda expressed growing confidence with the RB21, particularly on high-speed sections, signaling a positive trajectory for the team ahead of qualifying.
