Charles Leclerc topped the sole practice session for the Miami Grand Prix, clocking a fastest lap of 1m 29.310s. The 90-minute extended session saw the Ferrari driver finish 0.297s ahead of Red Bull's Max Verstappen, with McLaren's Oscar Piastri securing the third position. Lewis Hamilton finished the session in fourth for Ferrari, followed by the Mercedes duo of Kimi Antonelli and George Russell. Antonelli encountered a late power unit issue that prevented a performance run on soft tyres, ultimately placing the Mercedes drivers in fifth and sixth respectively.
