McLaren sign youngest recruit to Development Programme

McLaren has signed 11-year-old karting prodigy Harry Williams to its Driver Development Programme, marking the team's youngest-ever recruit. Williams, a rising star from Cheshire, has demonstrated exceptional talent in British and international karting, recently becoming the 2025 British Open Champion. Alessandro Alunni Bravi, head of the programme, expressed his excitement about the signing, highlighting the goal to create a sustainable pipeline for talent across F1, IndyCar, and the World Endurance Championship. Williams, who will compete in the OK-Junior category throughout 2026, joins a diverse talent roster including Christian Costoya and Pato O’Ward.
