Mexico disappointment for Alpine's Colapinto and Gasly

Alpine faced another challenging weekend at the Mexico City Grand Prix, with Franco Colapinto and Pierre Gasly finishing at the rear of the field.Colapinto, who ended P16 just behind Gasly's P15, expressed his frustration, stating there "was not a lot of things we can do" as the team struggled significantly with tyre pace, especially on hard compounds. Despite a strong final stint on softs, he voiced disappointment over the overall performance and result. This outcome leaves Alpine firmly last in the Constructors' Championship, 40 points adrift of Kick Sauber. Gasly, having not scored points in seven consecutive races, remains hopeful for a better showing in Brazil, a venue where Alpine achieved an unexpected double podium last year.
