Verstappen beats Norris to Sprint pole in Austin

Max Verstappen secured Sprint pole position at the United States Grand Prix, delivering a sensational final lap to edge out both McLaren cars. Lando Norris had dominated Sprint Qualifying, topping SQ1 and SQ2, and initially looked set for pole. However, Verstappen’s impressive 1m 32.143s lap put him just 0.071s ahead of Norris, with Oscar Piastri's McLaren in third. Nico Hülkenberg impressed with P4, while George Russell took fifth. Ferrari experienced a challenging session, with Lewis Hamilton in eighth and Charles Leclerc rounding out the top ten.
