Lando Norris secured McLaren's 200th Grand Prix victory at the Hungaroring, leading a remarkable 1-2 finish for the team. Starting from pole, Oscar Piastri initially led but Norris, on a bold one-stop strategy, expertly managed his tyres to overtake his teammate late in the race. Piastri, on a two-stop, closed the gap but ran out of laps. George Russell delivered a superb drive for Mercedes, clinching third after an opportunistic start and a late pass on Charles Leclerc, who was hampered by a chassis issue. Liam Lawson finished eighth for Racing Bulls, while Max Verstappen and Yuki Tsunoda had a challenging weekend for Red Bull, finishing ninth and seventeenth respectively. Haas, Williams, and Alpine struggled, failing to score points.
