Genesis Magma Racing takes best WEC result at Lone Star Le Mans

Genesis Magma Racing achieved its best FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) result to date at the Lone Star Le Mans, with the #17 GMR-001 Hypercar, driven by Pipo Derani, Mathys Jaubert, and André Lotterer, finishing seventh. Throughout a demanding weekend at Circuit of the Americas, the team demonstrated significant progress, with both cars reaching Hyperpole for the first time and maintaining excellent mechanical reliability across all sessions. Despite an early incident involving André Lotterer that forced the #17 car to fight back through the field, strategic use of Safety Car periods and a tactical tyre change allowed the crew to recover to seventh. Meanwhile, the #19 entry, driven by Paul-Loup Chatin, Mathieu Jaminet, and Dani Juncadella, successfully finished on the lead lap, marking a key milestone for the team. While management and drivers expressed pride in the team's evolution and consistent performance, they acknowledged the need to refine operational procedures and strategy to ensure both cars can consistently score points in the final races of the season.
