Start of Audi journey is 'extraordinary feeling' – Wheatley
Audi marked a significant milestone, unveiling their 2026 F1 challenger, the R26, in Berlin.
Team Principal Jonathan Wheatley described an "extraordinary feeling" as the long-anticipated Audi F1 project officially became a reality.
Having taken over Kick Sauber for their maiden season, the German manufacturer will debut in Australia, powered by their inaugural F1 unit. Wheatley, surprisingly emotional, revealed they've already conducted a shakedown in Barcelona, noting the new power units "sound good."
The team anticipates an aggressive development race under the new regulations, expecting substantial car changes and upgrades even before the first race, as they aim to establish their competitive package.
