McLaren set to deliver 'completely new car' for Miami – Stella

McLaren is preparing a major upgrade for the upcoming races in Miami and Canada, with Team Principal Andrea Stella confirming that an entirely new MCL40 will be introduced. Following a challenging start to the season, the team used the mid-season break to refine their aerodynamic package, aiming to challenge the current leaders, Mercedes and Ferrari. Stella emphasized that while they expect competitive gains, other teams will likely bring similar updates, meaning the pecking order may remain similar. Additionally, the team has successfully collaborated with Mercedes HPP to better understand their power unit and simulation tools, marking a significant step forward since the opening rounds of the season.
