Button confirms end of professional racing career
Jenson Button, the 2009 Formula 1 World Champion, has announced that the upcoming 8 Hours of Bahrain will mark the final professional race of his illustrious career. The Briton, who competed in 306 F1 races with 15 wins and 50 podiums, made his debut in 2000 and achieved fairytale success with Brawn GP.After leaving F1, Button continued racing in various categories, including the World Endurance Championship. The 45-year-old cited a desire to focus on other commitments and spend more time with his young family as the primary reasons for stepping away from professional competition. He expressed plans to continue racing his classic cars for enjoyment.
