WATCH: Norris' journey to the F1 World Championship

Lando Norris has capped a remarkable journey from karting to Formula 1 World Champion, securing his maiden F1 Drivers' Championship in Abu Dhabi. Becoming the 35th driver to achieve this feat, Norris built his success on a strong junior career, including the 2017 FIA F3 European Championship. Joining McLaren in 2019, he steadily climbed the ranks, earning his first podium in 2020 and pole position in 2021. The breakthrough came with his first Grand Prix win in Miami in 2024, followed by three more victories that year, helping McLaren clinch the Teams' Championship. In 2025, with seven wins including Monte Carlo and Silverstone, and 11 additional podiums, Norris clinched the world title by just two points.
