Leclerc claims shock pole position in Hungary

Charles Leclerc dramatically secured pole position for the Hungarian Grand Prix, edging out McLaren's Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris by mere thousandths of a second. The Ferrari driver's stunning final Q3 lap of 1m 15.372s defied challenging track conditions. George Russell impressed with P4 for Mercedes, while Aston Martin's Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll took P5 and P6. Kick Sauber celebrated Gabriel Bortoleto's impressive P7, which surprisingly put him ahead of four-time champion Max Verstappen. Racing Bulls also saw a strong showing with Liam Lawson P9 and Isack Hadjar P10. Elsewhere, Lewis Hamilton faced a tough Q2 exit in P12, and Kimi Antonelli dropped to P15 after a track limits penalty.
