Doohan joins Haas as reserve driver for 2026

Haas F1 Team has announced the signing of former Alpine racer Jack Doohan as a reserve driver for the 2026 Formula 1 season. Doohan, son of motorcycling legend Mick Doohan, brings valuable experience, having served as an Alpine reserve in 2023 and 2024, and even undertaking a seven-race stint as a race driver. Following his departure from Alpine last month, the Australian will now join Ryo Hirakawa in Haas's reserve lineup. Team Principal Ayao Komatsu expressed excitement, citing Doohan's strong racing resume and dedication. Doohan himself conveyed his thrill, calling Haas "the ideal place" to continue his F1 career and eager to contribute to the team's 2026 challenge.
