McLaren lodge notification of appeal against Gasly’s Monaco P3

Pierre Gasly has been reinstated to P3 in the Monaco Grand Prix after Alpine successfully launched a Right of Review regarding the five-second penalties he originally received for pit lane speeding. The decision was overturned after Alpine presented new, significant evidence to the FIA, resulting in Gasly reclaiming his podium spot from Red Bull's Isack Hadjar. McLaren has officially lodged an appeal with the FIA International Court of Appeal, arguing that the decision creates sporting inequity. The team contends that since other drivers, including Oscar Piastri, served their penalties during the race in accordance with the regulations at the time, the retroactive removal of Gasly’s penalties undermines the consistency and integrity of the competition.
