Stella offers view on McLaren intra-team battle after Belgian GP 1-2

McLaren Team Principal Andrea Stella shared his insights on the intense intra-team battle between Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris following their 1-2 finish at the Belgian Grand Prix. Stella stated he embraces the challenge of managing a championship fight between two drivers he believes are operating at the level of former World Champions. Piastri secured his sixth win of the season, extending his points lead over Norris, after overtaking his teammate who started on pole. Despite Norris's strategic choice of hard tyres and a late charge, Piastri maintained his lead. Stella acknowledged a slight battery anomaly affected both cars but emphasized the difficulty of leading into Turn 5 at Spa. He also confirmed Norris's independence in pit strategy decisions.
