The state of play at Cadillac

Cadillac has made an encouraging start to their debut 2026 F1 season as the first new entrant in a decade. Led by Graeme Lowdon, the team has focused on reliability and data gathering with their Ferrari-powered cars, piloted by veterans Sergio Perez and Valtteri Bottas. While they have yet to score points, the team has shown clear performance progression, notably with Perez finishing on the lead lap in Japan. Despite a clean working relationship between the drivers and steady progress in both pace and reliability, the team faces significant challenges. They lack the extensive historical data of their rivals and currently find themselves fighting near the back of the grid alongside Aston Martin and Williams. Looking ahead, Cadillac plans to introduce their first upgrade package in Miami, as they continue to aim for points through a combination of refined chassis development and opportunistic racing.
