Leclerc fastest on final day of Bahrain pre-season test

Ferrari's Charles Leclerc concluded the Bahrain pre-season test setting the fastest time overall. The Monegasque driver dominated the final day, clocking a 1m 31.992s, significantly ahead of McLaren's Lando Norris and Red Bull's Max Verstappen. Leclerc's full day in the SF-26 saw him continuously improve his benchmark. The final day also featured varied programmes across teams. Aston Martin experienced a 'very limited' run due to a battery issue, while McLaren conducted work on their challenger, delaying Lando Norris's appearance. Mercedes boosted their mileage despite an earlier pneumatic issue for Andrea Kimi Antonelli. With testing complete, teams now prepare for the season-opening Australian Grand Prix.
