Verstappen explains Hamilton clash in Spanish GP

Max Verstappen finished second at the Spanish Grand Prix behind Mercedes' Kimi Antonelli, following an eventful race that included a turn-one incident with Lewis Hamilton. Verstappen initially cut the corner to avoid a collision with the Ferrari driver but ultimately yielded the position, eventually regaining it as Hamilton battled brake issues. Despite lacking the raw pace of Antonelli and McLaren's Lando Norris, Verstappen successfully managed his race to secure a crucial podium. The Dutchman expressed satisfaction with the result, acknowledging that his P2 finish was aided by the timing of a Virtual Safety Car which disadvantaged Norris. Reflecting on the race, Verstappen noted that while he could not match the blistering speed of the top two, he felt his performance was strong and the result was a positive outcome given his car's pace relative to the competition.
