Alpine have no ‘excuses’ not to perform in 2026 – Briatore

Flavio Briatore, Alpine's Executive Advisor, has declared high expectations for the team in 2026, emphasizing that "this year is not for excuses" after a challenging 2025 season. Having strategically discounted the previous year to focus on new regulations, Briatore is confident Alpine can bounce back from their last-place finish. Unveiling the new A526 car, he highlighted a "new chapter" for the squad, which will also transition to Mercedes power units. Briatore expects strong performances from both Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto, stressing the need for two competitive drivers.
