‘It was a mistake’ – Vasseur on Hamilton’s strategy call

Ferrari Team Principal Fred Vasseur has revealed that Lewis Hamilton missed out on a podium finish at the Singapore Grand Prix due to a strategic miscommunication under a Virtual Safety Car. While running strongly, Hamilton chose to stay out on aging tires instead of following teammate Charles Leclerc into the pits for a double stack, a decision that ultimately left him vulnerable and dropped him to sixth place at the checkered flag.
