Mercedes withdraw Right of Review request over Monaco result

Mercedes has officially withdrawn its Right of Review request regarding the penalty issued to George Russell during the 2026 Monaco Grand Prix. The British driver initially contended for a podium position before receiving a pit lane speeding penalty and a subsequent drive-through penalty for a procedural error in serving it, ultimately finishing the race in 12th place. While the team had initially sought to contest the decision following a successful review by Alpine regarding a similar incident involving Pierre Gasly, Mercedes decided to retract its petition. An official statement confirmed that the FIA stewards were notified of the team's decision to drop the challenge concerning the breach of Article B1.6.3a related to Car 63.
