Stanek impresses to take pole ahead of Crawford and Fornaroli

Roman Stanek has claimed pole position for the final Formula 2 weekend of the year at the Yas Marina Circuit, showcasing strong form. The Czech driver clocked a 1m 36.836s, narrowly beating Jak Crawford by just 0.087s. Invicta Racing teammate Leonardo Fornaroli, the 2025 Champion and a new McLaren Driver Development Programme member, secured third place despite a late charge. Further down the grid, Dino Beganovic took fourth, with Sebastian Montoya rounding out the top five. Notably, Arvid Lindblad, a future Racing Bulls driver, finished tenth, earning him reverse grid pole for the upcoming Formula 2 Sprint Race.
