Tsunoda blames ‘miscommunication’ for Belgium strategy error

Yuki Tsunoda endured a frustrating Belgian Grand Prix, missing a golden opportunity for points despite his best qualifying performance of the season. Starting seventh, the Red Bull driver's 100th Grand Prix was derailed by a "miscommunication" regarding a crucial slick tyre pit stop. Tsunoda explained he passed pit entry when called in, causing a costly one-lap delay on the lengthy Spa-Francorchamps circuit. This dropped him from P7 to 12th, trapping him in a DRS train and impacting his tyre wear. Despite fighting hard, he ultimately finished 13th, extending his point-less streak since May. The missed opportunity was particularly disheartening after receiving the same upgrade package as Max Verstappen.
