Vassuer explains Ferrari team orders in Baku

Ferrari team principal Fred Vasseur has explained the controversial team orders issued during the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, where Charles Leclerc was instructed to yield to Lewis Hamilton. Vasseur clarified that Hamilton had a tire advantage and Leclerc faced an engine recovery issue, prompting the switch to allow Hamilton to challenge Lando Norris. Despite the maneuver, Hamilton couldn't pass Norris, leading to a reversed order call on the final lap, though Hamilton misjudged the line, finishing slightly ahead. Vasseur emphasized that Ferrari's primary struggles stemmed from qualifying, not the race, despite the team dropping behind Mercedes in the Constructors' Championship. He remains optimistic about their underlying pace but stresses the need for improved collective execution.
