Verstappen sets out target for Monza

Red Bull's Max Verstappen has expressed a cautious outlook ahead of the Italian Grand Prix at Monza, following a disappointing early exit at his home race in Zandvoort. The Dutchman emphasized the need for realism regarding the team's current performance levels, stating that his primary goal is simply to have a clean and productive weekend. Verstappen will sit out Free Practice 1 to allow Ayumu Iwasa to take the wheel, returning for the second practice session. Reflecting on his Zandvoort experience, he noted that the team struggled with pace throughout the weekend, and while he is disappointed by the early retirement, he remains grateful for the positive memories and fan support he experienced at his home Grand Prix.
