Verstappen’s race engineer Lambiase to leave Red Bull for McLaren

Max Verstappen's long-time race engineer, Gianpiero Lambiase, is set to depart Red Bull at the conclusion of his current contract in 2028. Known affectionately as 'GP,' he has been a pivotal figure alongside the four-time World Champion since 2016, navigating numerous successes and challenges together. Following his tenure at Red Bull, Lambiase will join McLaren as their new Chief Racing Officer. With a wealth of experience dating back to his start with the Jordan team in 2005 and roles at Force India and Red Bull, his transition to a leadership position at Woking marks a significant shift in the F1 paddock landscape.
