See how Verstappen pipped Norris to Austin pole with our ‘Ghost Car’

Max Verstappen secured pole position for the United States Grand Prix in a thrilling qualifying session, despite failing to set a second flying lap in Q3. The Red Bull driver's initial effort of 1m 32.510s proved insurmountable, fending off a strong challenge from McLaren's Lando Norris, who finished 0.291 seconds adrift. Verstappen had dominated Q1 and Q2, setting a blistering pace early in the final session. A tense wait ensued after his final attempt was cut short, but his provisional pole lap ultimately held up, denying Norris a maiden pole at COTA.
