Verstappen ‘central’ to Red Bull & Ford’s engine project

Red Bull and Ford are intensively preparing for Formula 1's 2026 regulations, with four-time World Champion Max Verstappen playing a pivotal role in their new power unit partnership. Red Bull team boss Laurent Mekies and Ford CEO Jim Farley highlighted Verstappen's deep involvement, both on and off the track, in the development of the engines for Red Bull Racing and Racing Bulls. Mekies described the ambitious project as akin to climbing Mount Everest.
