Vowles explains how Williams ‘need’ to use April break

Williams Team Principal James Vowles has revealed that the team plans to utilize the five-week gap in the April calendar to address ongoing car performance issues. Following a difficult start to the 2026 season, the Grove-based outfit is prioritizing weight reduction of the FW48 to improve competitiveness for the Miami Grand Prix. In addition to technical developments, the team intends to use this time for intense data analysis and simulator work with drivers Alexander Albon and Carlos Sainz.
