Antonelli secures brilliant victory in chaotic Monaco GP
Kimi Antonelli claimed his fifth victory of the season at the Monaco Grand Prix, further extending his lead in the Drivers' Championship. Despite an incident-filled race that saw seven retirements, the Mercedes driver maintained his composure to finish ahead of Lewis Hamilton and Isack Hadjar, the latter of whom secured his first podium for Red Bull.
The race saw early drama as championship contender Max Verstappen suffered a mechanical failure at the start, leading to his retirement. The race was further complicated by a Safety Car following a crash by Lance Stroll and a subsequent red flag after a similar accident by Charles Leclerc. Key finishes included Oscar Piastri in fourth and Liam Lawson in fifth, while Sergio Perez secured the first-ever points for Cadillac.
