Racing Bulls outline ‘strange’ upgrade plan for next two races
Racing Bulls Team Principal Alan Permane has detailed the team's unusual upgrade strategy during the April break. Originally intended for Bahrain, the team's first major upgrade package will now debut in Miami, followed immediately by another significant update in Montreal, creating a condensed development timeline. Permane noted that while this double-hit is unconventional, the extra time has allowed for additional chassis work and increased the quantity of parts available for the Miami Grand Prix.
Despite a strong start to the season with consistent points finishes from Arvid Lindblad and Liam Lawson, Permane admitted the team is currently playing catch-up due to their late-season development focus last year. He expressed confidence that the upcoming upgrades will strengthen their position in the midfield, maintaining a competitive trajectory through to the summer break.
