Toyota and McLaren led the opening free practice session at the 2026 6 Hours of Fuji. Ryo Hirakawa topped the Hypercar class in the #8 Toyota, while Finn Gehrsitz set the pace in LMGT3 for the #58 Garage 59 McLaren.
Practice sessions took place in warm, dry conditions as teams prepared for Sunday's 13th WEC race at the circuit. The #12 Cadillac and #50 Ferrari rounded out the top three in the premier class, while the #10 McLaren and #34 Corvette followed the leading entry in the GT category.
