FIA WEC and FIA confirm venues for final two rounds of 2026

The FIA WEC has officially confirmed the transition of its final two 2026 season rounds from Qatar and Bahrain to Barcelona and Monza due to regional circumstances. The 6 Hours of Barcelona will take place from 16-18 October, followed by the 6 Hours of Monza from 6-8 November, with the change awaiting final approval from the FIA World Motor Sport Council. FIA WEC officials expressed deep regret over the inability to race in the Middle East this season but praised the resilience and cooperation of the QMMF and the Bahrain International Circuit. Both organizations have confirmed their commitment to the championship and look forward to the series' return to the region in 2027, as per the established long-term vision for the endurance racing calendar.
