Leon’s strategy call earns him F2 pole in Spielberg

Noel Leon broke convention during qualifying to secure his maiden Formula 2 pole position in Austria. By heading out onto the track while his rivals waited in the pits, he set a benchmark time of 1m 15.544s that remained unbeaten. Alexander Dunne and Nikola Tsolov completed the top three, with championship leader Gabriele Minì finishing fourth. Sebastian Montoya rounded out the top 10, which earns him the reverse grid pole position for Saturday's Sprint Race.
