Cadillac provide update on in-house engine schedule
TWG Motorsports boss Dan Towriss confirmed Cadillac's F1 power unit debut is still targeting 2029, though the team aims to accelerate the process if possible, emphasizing the importance of seeing a Cadillac engine on the grid "as soon as possible." GM Performance Power Units LLC was officially approved by the FIA for 2029. Towriss noted they are closely monitoring potential regulation changes before 2031. Work on their state-of-the-art US headquarters in Fishers, Indiana, is progressing, with completion expected by late this year or early 2027. Meanwhile, Cadillac maintains a positive working relationship with Ferrari, who are supplying engines and gearboxes until Cadillac's own unit is ready.
