Mekies insists Red Bull will 'happily' poach talent

Red Bull is facing a period of transition as key personnel, including Max Verstappen’s long-time race engineer Gianpiero Lambiase, are set to depart for other teams. Lambiase, who will join McLaren as Chief Racing Officer by 2028, follows a line of notable departures such as Adrian Newey, Jonathan Wheatley, and Rob Marshall. Despite these exits, Laurent Mekies maintains that the team is not concerned, emphasizing Red Bull's commitment to internal development and strategic hiring. Mekies highlighted the strength of current leaders like Pierre Wache and Ben Waterhouse, noting that the team prioritizes internal promotions while remaining open to recruiting top talent from competitors to maintain its competitive edge.
