Norris concedes he 'let down' McLaren with Piastri clash

Lando Norris has publicly apologised to McLaren and admitted he let the team down following his final-lap collision with teammate Oscar Piastri during the Singapore Sprint. Battling for fourth place at Turn 5, Norris lunged down the inside, resulting in a crash that spun both cars, forced Piastri to retire, and dropped Norris to eighth. Although initially defensive after the Sprint, Norris accepted full responsibility following Sunday's Grand Prix, where he finished fourth. McLaren Team Principal Andrea Stella expressed disappointment over the incident, which the stewards deemed a racing incident. During Sunday's race, Norris attempted to help Piastri recover positions after the Australian suffered an unfortunate puncture. Norris offered to assist via team radio, though Piastri ultimately managed to overtake Lewis Hamilton independently to finish directly behind his teammate, salvaging valuable points for McLaren.
