What the teams said – Race day in Mexico City
Lando Norris dominated the Mexico City Grand Prix, securing his sixth victory of the season and dramatically seizing the championship lead by one point. Starting from pole, the McLaren driver commanded the race, winning by over 30 seconds. Charles Leclerc fought hard for Ferrari, finishing second despite Verstappen's late charge. Max Verstappen overcame early incidents to claim third place, while young Oliver Bearman delivered an exceptional performance for Haas, achieving a career-best fourth. Oscar Piastri, Norris's teammate, finished fifth, losing his championship advantage. The race also saw Gabriel Bortoleto score a point for Kick Sauber, and challenging outings for Mercedes, Williams, and other teams.
