How Doohan supports Haas as reserve driver
After completing a seven-round stint with Alpine, Jack Doohan has settled into his new role as a reserve driver for Haas. Working alongside fellow reserve Ryo Hirakawa, Doohan is focused on supporting regular drivers Ollie Bearman and Esteban Ocon by providing feedback, analyzing telemetry, and assisting in race weekend strategies.
Doohan highlights that the life of a reserve driver extends far beyond waiting for a potential race call-up. He actively participates in engineering meetings and simulator sessions, acting as an extra set of eyes for the team. While balancing these duties with his own commitments in the European Le Mans Series, Doohan expects to attend 10 to 11 F1 rounds this year to ensure he remains integrated and ready for any opportunity.
