Gasly signs new contract extension with Alpine
Pierre Gasly has signed a significant contract extension with Alpine, committing his future to the French team until at least the end of the 2028 season, announced ahead of the Italian Grand Prix weekend. Gasly, who joined in 2023, has already secured two podiums and was instrumental in Alpine's sixth-place finish last season. Both sides were eager to extend his deal, originally set to expire next year, by an additional two years. Alpine expressed strong belief in Gasly to lead them into the new 2026 regulation era under Flavio Briatore's leadership. Gasly himself conveyed pride and excitement, emphasizing his confidence in the team's future and their shared goal of winning races and championships. The identity of his future teammate remains open.
