Vettel 'in contact’ with Marko over succeeding him
Former four-time F1 World Champion Sebastian Vettel has confirmed early discussions with Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko about potentially succeeding him in a future role. Vettel, who achieved peak success with Red Bull between 2010 and 2013, winning four drivers' titles, has remained in contact with the team's long-serving advisor.
While the talks are not yet "intensive or in-depth," Vettel admitted it's "perhaps something that could play a role." The German, who retired from F1 in 2022, emphasized Marko's irreplaceable contribution to Red Bull's success, stating, "He's irreplaceable."
Despite his respect, Vettel remains open to a return to the F1 paddock in a different capacity, acknowledging that "at some point, things will inevitably move on" for the 82-year-old Marko.
