Norris hails ‘perfect’ Austria win after Piastri battle

Lando Norris secured a thrilling victory at the Austrian Grand Prix, leading a McLaren 1-2 finish with teammate Oscar Piastri. The race saw an intense, “tough” battle between the two papaya cars from start to finish, causing Norris “a lot of stress”. Starting from pole, Norris maintained his lead, while Piastri climbed to P2, initiating a fierce duel. Despite Piastri briefly overtaking him, Norris quickly regained the lead and managed to hold off his teammate in the closing stages, sealing his third win of the season by 2.695 seconds. Norris admitted the hot conditions and constant pushing made it a tiring race, but expressed immense satisfaction with the perfect team result.
