The Spanish Grand Prix delivered a thrilling spectacle, with McLaren seizing maximum points amidst a dramatic race, leading to a shake-up in the F1 Power Rankings. Our five-judge panel meticulously assessed each driver's performance, factoring out machinery, to determine the weekend's top performers. Oscar Piastri emerged as the undeniable standout, delivering a superb pole position and a dominant victory that saw him turn the tables on teammate Lando Norris, firmly establishing himself as a key contender. Nico Hulkenberg also shone brightly, executing a remarkable recovery from a Q1 exit to secure an impressive P5, strategically utilizing an extra set of soft tyres after a late Safety Car period. Charles Leclerc showcased another strong recovery drive, converting a P7 start into an unexpected podium finish by making astute tyre choices. Rookie Isack Hadjar continued his dream run, securing a Q3 appearance and points for the third consecutive race, blending raw pace with maturity. Lando Norris, despite being outshone by Piastri, salvaged a crucial P2, limiting damage and maintaining his strong season. Fernando Alonso delighted his home crowd with his first points of the season, marked by aggressive overtakes. Other notable performances included George Russell securing P4 for Mercedes, Pierre Gasly breaking Alpine’s point drought with P8, and Gabriel Bortoleto impressively reaching Q2.
