Alpine are ‘nowhere near where we should be’ says Gasly
Alpine endured another challenging race at the Singapore Grand Prix, with drivers Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto failing to score points for the fifth consecutive event. Gasly finished 19th after starting from the pit lane due to reliability issues in qualifying, while Colapinto placed 16th. The team had hoped the Marina Bay Street Circuit would suit their car better after struggling on high-speed tracks, but their performance remained subpar. Gasly admitted recent discomfort in the car, leading to set-up changes for future understanding. Colapinto, despite a strong start, couldn't maintain pace on older tyres. While Alpine remains at the bottom of the Constructors' Championship, Gasly expressed optimism for improved results at the upcoming Austin race, believing the circuit characteristics will be more favorable.
