Binotto confirms Audi looking for Wheatley replacement

Audi F1 project lead Mattia Binotto has addressed the sudden and unexpected departure of Team Principal Jonathan Wheatley. Binotto will temporarily take over Wheatley's duties while the team looks for a permanent replacement to manage race weekend operations. Binotto emphasized that while the team is currently restructuring, the priority remains on long-term development at their factories. He noted that he cannot manage both the factory-based power unit development and trackside operations indefinitely, confirming that a new appointment will be announced soon to support the team's championship ambitions by 2030.
