Colapinto to drive F1 car on streets of Buenos Aires
Alpine driver Franco Colapinto is set to make history on April 26 by becoming the first Argentinian to drive a Formula 1 car through the streets of Buenos Aires. The road show will take place in the Palermo neighbourhood, where Colapinto will pilot a 2012 E20 chassis adorned in Alpine livery along a 2km circuit on Avenida del Libertador and Avenida Sarmiento.
Expressing his excitement, Colapinto described the event as a tribute to his home fans, stating that it is his way of thanking them for their lifelong support. In addition to the driving displays, the festival will feature fan forums, music, and guest experiences supported by the Buenos Aires city government, coinciding with the F1 calendar's break ahead of the Miami Grand Prix.
